Group Lessons: FELDENKRAIS METHOD® AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT®
provide a gentle exploration of neurophysiological movement patterns that underlie efficiency in human movement. Students lie on comfortable mats, or sit in chairs, while a Practitioner verbally guides them through a series of movements. With trained guidance, these movement lessons provide a learning opportunity for students to notice how their skeleton and muscles are designed to function and to incorporate these insights into their movement in a gentle, non-goal-oriented approach. This learning is in part cognitive, and in part, a sensory process, composed of expanding a person's capacity to sense subtle differences in areas such as weightedness, effort, and direction.

One-on-One Lessons: FELDENKRAIS METHOD® FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION®
provide a hands on experience of The Method. "FI" or Functional Integration
® sessions can be especially helpful to work with limitations in movement that are habitual or cause discomfort. The Feldenkrais Practioner's job is to discover your movement capacity with their hands and then lead your body through gentle movements which invite the brain to reorganize how you use yourself. These sessions are usually very relaxing and enjoyable.
Bridget will customize FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION
® sessions to maximize your ability to move with lightness & ease, play your sport or instrument better, or improve your balance and agility. Because improving movement produces new neural connections, shifts in brain function achieved leave clients feeling more positive and capable, and can lead to new levels of creativity.
